Dickson Holiday Park
Dickson Park is set beside a stream, surrounded by native bush and the old Tararu gardens planted late last century by the settlers looking to beautify this thriving gold town. It is also the site of the remains of the Brown and Campbell gold-processing stamper battery.
The gold is mostly gone, or best left in the ground to preserve the scenic wealth of this beautiful area, but the history remains and is a part of life on the Coromandel Peninsula.
Features
Dickson Holiday Park has a wide range of accommodation options for every traveller. From tenting to backpackers, motel units to bunk rooms you will find it here. This holiday park has some of the best facilities in the area offering everything you could possibly need including a kitchen, laundry, dump station, fish cleaning station, BBQs, playgrounds, swimming pool and more.
There is also a shop stocking basic necessities and commonly needed items. For bread, milk, ice creams, drinks and simple needs the park shop can provide most of your requirements.
Location
Located on Victoria Street, Dickson Park is 3km from the town centre, and a great location to access Thames activities, landmarks, sites and trails.
