After the success of our previous Careers Roadshows, Thames-Coromandel District Council is excited to announce that we’re bringing it back for 2025.

We want to show our rangatahi what’s possible — and that starts with you

Thanks to the positive feedback and impact from past events, we’re keeping the momentum going.

We’d love for your organisation to join us and help inspire our young people about the career and training pathways out there.
It’s a great chance to meet future talent face-to-face, showcase what you do, and spark some big dreams.

Here’s where and when we’ll be:
Monday 11 August – Thames High School, Thames
Tuesday 12 August – Mercury Bay Area School, Whitianga
Wednesday 13 August – Coromandel Area School, Coromandel
Thursday 14 August – Te Wharekura o Manaia, Manaia
Friday 15 August – Whangamata Area School, Whangamata

A few important notes:
We have limited tables available – If you’re able to bring your own, we’d really appreciate it. Otherwise, be sure to request a table when you register.
We’re aiming to keep the roadshow as interactive as possible – hands-on displays, activities, and anything that gets our young people involved are encouraged.
You do not need to attend all five days – just let us know which locations you’ll be joining when you register.

We can help make it work for you:
We understand that it’s not always easy to spare staff for a full day — but we’d still love for you to be involved. If time or resources are a challenge, please get in touch with us to talk through other options. We’ll be running a shared “Industry Stand” at each event, where local businesses can display brochures, posters, or promo materials. You’re welcome to contribute to the stall and pop in for an hour or two if that’s more manageable. Every bit of presence helps show our young people what’s out there.
