As the weather starts to cool down, it’s a good time to think about keeping warm, keeping moving, and staying connected.
Spending more time indoors can sometimes mean we move a little less, but small, regular movement can make a real difference to strength, balance and confidence.

We’re really looking forward to being part of a special community event this April focused on staying strong, steady and independent.
Falls are one of the most common reasons older adults lose confidence and independence — but there is so much we can do to reduce risk and stay well.

We’re pleased to be working alongside local organisations, including Hato Hone St John, Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki, and others, to bring you April Falls — a free community event full of practical advice and support.

This is a great opportunity to:
learn practical ways to support strength and balance
hear from local health professionals
connect with services and groups in our community
There will also be time for a kōrero and kai.

Movement Classes.
At Age Concern Hauraki Coromandel, we continue to offer a range of strength, balance and social programmes across the region.
If you’d like to find out more about what’s available locally, we’re always happy to help.
We’d love to see you at one of our classes.
